Discover the journey behind Willsborough Hardware. While Mark LaFountain didn’t begin his career with a plan to own a shop, his twenty years in the industry sparked a genuine passion. On October 1, 2017, Mark and his business partner, Van Calkins, officially took the reins of what was formerly Adirondack Hardware in Willsboro. The transition occurred after long-time owner and family friend Roger Long decided to focus his efforts on his Keeseville location. Mark considers himself lucky to have learned from "Big Roger," who mentored him from his very first day in 1994. Building on that foundation, Mark and Van have exciting goals for Willsborough Hardware, including a major expansion of the retail floor and a revitalized focus on their lumberyard services. As a true community anchor in the Adirondacks, the store supports dozens of local contractors and provides expert advice to seasonal residents tackling DIY home projects—especially when it comes to finding the perfect gallon of paint. The team is dedicated to serving the local families and professionals who keep the wheels turning year-round. Our commitment to our neighbors is at the heart of everything we do, and we look forward to growing alongside our community for years to come. Email us at willsboroughhardware@yahoo.com.
